Whimsie Doodles: My first two cards!

Hi again blogger friends!!! Wanna share with you my first two cards using WHIMSIE DOODLES digi-stamps... I'm quite nervous making these, my fellow DTs' cards are GORGEOUS!!!

Take a look at THANH's cards HERE, KELLI's card, JONI's (who's a fellow PINAY crafter as well!!!), NIKKI's and KELLY's... awesome, right?!?!?! Wow... so creative and talented ladies!

Oh yeah, here are my cards... hehehe

Puddle Jumper - this is so cute, I love Ms. Piggy (that's my bluetooth nickname, lol!!!) splashing in the puddle... after printing her almost 5 times, this one is the biggest eventually :) I run out of white cardstock to print on so I stopped, lol! Used scraps here except the base cardstock. Doodling will always be present too :D
Gingerbread stir things up - so adorable! I used scraps of papers in this card even the ribbon! :D I colored the image and the word "stir" with Staedtler and Sakura gel pens... and crayons (yeah!! crayons :D heehee) and some watercolors... and a little touch of my white Uniball pen.

Materials used: white cardstock for base of card (Orange brand), Fancy Pants patterned papers, KI Memories (Love, Elsie), Melissa Frances, DCWV cs, other papers (I don't remember anymore), Staedtler pens, Sakura gel pens, Uniball white pen, Crayons, Faber Castel watercolor pencils, Stickles, satin and sheer ribbons.

I just realized that I'm not good with coloring images, it's harder than I thought! After consuming lots of printed images and papers.. I stopped struggling and just let it go... I believe practice makes perfect, eventually I will get the hang of it, lol!! :)
Well, I think the rest of the printed images were not totally wasted.. my niece, Cheska, and 10-year old sis loved it and wanted me to print more (gonna use bond paper for my test prints next time!!!) hehehe

Thanks for reading through...

Hugs to all,
Donna

Lovely work Donna and right back at ya on the creativity!! Don't be so hard on yourself with colouring - it took me tons of practice and I'm still learning everyday.

Are you kidding me? These are gorgeous!!! I love your layouts, you can definitely tell that you have scrapbooking genius genes in your work. I would have never come up with such a fun lo like the Puddle Jumper!
Your colors are just wonderful on both cards, the gingerbread guy is so sweet, the DP works just perfectly with his image. And btw, your coloring is adorable. Whenever I have a hard time, I just follow the pros and copy what they do. haha!
