This January, Clique kits is featuring "Happy Place" by Fancy Pants Designs

These are the pages I created using the kit

you'll notice that most of these are simpler than the usual pages I create. My designs depend on my mood and how I feel when I look at the papers and or in this case, the kit as a whole. I still like fussy cutting and layering and clustering. But on the simpler side.

I am loving the plain white background lately. If you know me, you now know I also do digital scrapbooking. I tend to lean to this style more often when I create digital pages. But I like how I can create instant masked effect in Photoshop lol! I'd like to do that on paper too, so I am figuring it out with some experiments from time to time.

This last page, I didn't do any mixed media or splattered some ink etc. I just simple layered the papers left on my stash and that's it. Took me longer to edit the photo and fussy cut the floral pattern lol (I edited the photo coz of the green specks on hubby's face. I have a tutorial on that in this blog post.)
