Scrapping with friends
...in Cavite! :)
ALBY invited us last Nov. 22 to her beautiful house to scrap. Cookie, Nina, Lee and I meet up at MOA. Cookie's very kind hubby, Henry, picked me up first at my brother's condo and went to MOA. We set 7am as our meet up time at Starbucks. Oh, just imagine me talking at 6:30 in the morning :D My friends would know, I am not a morning person until I get to drink at least 1 MUG of hot coffee, 2 would be just divine. 3rd mug I save for in the afternoon hehehe
So, Cookie and I got there first.. thankfully Starbucks opened at last! Hmmm the smell of coffee!! Heaven!!! While waiting for our orders, Nina arrived. And not so much later, Lee. We rode in her van and convoyed with Bjay from Island Cove to Alby's house in Kawit. We almost missed the left turn we're supposed to take good thing I looked back and saw Bjay's car turned left lol!!
Alby's house (the whole property actually) is so beautiful! The place is so peaceful and did I say beautiful?? :D Alby graciously led us inside her tidy and gorgeous home (which we will invade a little later on hehehe).
We ooohhedd and ahhhedd in her kitchen and shrieked in delight when we saw her scrap space. What a space! lol! The cabinets are to die for, every scrapper should have those! lol! Esp the ones with little wheels (dunno what you call those lol!). We were so engrossed "conversing" in very loud voices (imagine: ALL AT ONCE) so when Alby told us her hubby is sleeping in the next room we shrieked Louder lol!! Was so thankful when Alby offered us coffee (yippeedd), I stopped in 2 cups. I dnt want to be that alert the whole day lol! :D
We talked about a lot of things amidst scrapbooking ... from Twilight to how many coffee we have to have in a day to pets to techniques to papers to distressing tools to Glimmer Mist and Radiant Rain to mini-albums to layouts to High School stuff to being OC to books to Sex and the City to Twilight again to Taiwan to Singapore back to scrapbooking(hayyyy.... kakapagod un ha lol!!!)
Anyways, here are some pics (which I grabbed from Cookie's and Bjay's blogs hehehe)...

Alby prepared a yummy lunch and merienda for us. I seldom eat laing but Alby's version is one of the BEST I have ever had!! Promise!!! From the lechon kawali to the rellenong bangus and the ensaladang pipino... I gained another 10lbs I think. lol!!!!
Lee also brought some brownies and Nina some chips. We were so stuffed, I'm telling yah. Oh and our merienda, Putanesca and baked french bread with Basil and Pesto spread. My mouth is watering while writing this.... lol!!!
We made some ATC's and swapped later. I got Cookie's :) Mine is "Fly High", 2nd ATC first row.
It was such a great day to be with some great company like these ladies.... I wish we'd be able to do this again :D
Hugs to all,
Donna
