Hybrid birthday invite with envelope:
Use editing software to make your birthday invite just like any digi layout. I always edit my designs in 300dpi. For this invite, I used Whoo's ready for spring digi kit by Tracy Reed and Meghan Mullens of Sweet Shoppe Designs.
(invite image above is the printed version)
- For the envelope, I used an 8.5x11 specialty paper that I just bought from the local bookstore. You can use any type of paper you prefer (handmade, patterned paper, mulberry, etc). Just follow the instructions written on the images.
I used a decorative scissors to cut the top portion of the envelope.
Attach a small tag by tying it with a crochet thread under the flower (do this just before you adhere the flower)
Hybrid "Happy birthday" card:
- Edit your elements into size (or color if you want). I placed mine in a 4x6 workspace (I always prefer to work on a transparent background with all the grids). Just resize the element you want to print out according to your preference or card design requirement.
- For my card, I resized the bird (approximately) 2inx2in, the cardboard label 2x0.5 inches and the glittered cloud 3inx2in.
- Once printed out, cut and set aside. You can left a little amount of white to make it look like a sticker.
- On a white cardstock (4inx5in), adhere a 4inx4in patterned paper to the lower part (I made a scalloped border on mine to add effect).
- Adhere ribbon on top of the patterned paper.
- Write "you are so" and "happy birthday" on strips of paper. Adhere as shown and use rubon for the "SWEET" sentiment in between the two strips.
- Place the cutout bird on the right side and embellish the tail with a small flower and bling.
- Adhere the cutout cardboard label on top of the patterned paper..
- Cut approximately 0.5in from the top of the card, following the curve of the cardboard label make a shaped edge as seen here.
- Adhere the cutout glittered cloud on the left side and doodle small dots around the edges.
- You card is finished!
And that's it! :)
