SNR 4th of July Blog Hop!!!
Yey! Another SNR Blog Hop event, my dear friends!!! :)
The SNR "OH SAY CAN YOU SEE" 4th of July will have 95 blog hops! Wowzer!!!
Be sure to stop by at the SNR Card Universe site for the first stop. Eventually you will land on my blog and then next to MARY's blog, which I am sure will have a fabulous idea for you to see!
1. Cut a 4x11 cardstock for the base. Fold in half and adhere.
2. Cover it with a paper of your choice. I used a Scenic Route paper for mine. Punch a hole and use an eyelet of your choice and tie a twill or ribbon at the topmost part.
3. Stamp an image at the lower right part. I used Maya Road tree stamp and red Stazon Ink.
4. Stamp additional images like the apple and bird. I used a dimensional tape on the apple image to make it pop a bit more coz it has the same color as the tree. I used Colorbox chalk ink and Tim Holtz distress ink on these images.
5. Cut a strip of another patterned paper and adhere vertically at the upper right side and another pleated strip for added interest.
6. I personally like mine to have a more personal touch so I wrote the quotation I chose on a cream cardstock, then cut and adhered as seen in the image.
7. Embellish with a flower (I used Maya Road fabric/felt flower) and ink the edges as well.
Then you're done! As simple as that! :)
For your next hop, check out MARY's blog.
Thank you so much for checking out mine!
Have a great FOURTH OF JULY to my friends and family in the USA!
Hugs to all,
Donna E.

Anyways, here is my share of idea... a simple bookmark which you can make for a friend or a child who loves to read... I decided to make an education-related theme instead of a 4th of July card. I believe that reading, education and freedom are co-related. The right to read and have proper education are good example of how one can obtain freedom in our society, in the world. Giving a child a book to read and giving him the education to pursue his dreams is as important and is much like giving him freedom to dream and to live.
Hmm... now on to my bookmark :D heehee
I basically made this with just scraps of patterned paper... I love to store them in a plastic accordion folder usually by color.. but later on will be in jumble, lol!
